Virtual reality and immersive learning at Birkbeck
Our new virtual reality and immersive learning facilities offer you inspiring and thought-provoking ways to learn. These new spaces enable practical, technical and external learning experiences that enhance the classroom environment across a range of subject areas.
You will now have opportunities to use digital media, VR and AR in teaching, learning and assessment including virtual field visits, gallery and museum tours, immersive documentaries, laboratory simulations, serious games, and 3D model talks.
Location
Next to the library in Birkbeck's main Malet Street building, from October 2025.
How to use the spaces
The Immersive Learning Centre including the loan service will open from the start of October 2025.
