Module description

This module is one of three designed to help you reflect on the core study and employability skills that you will acquire on the course, explore their applicability in an employment context, undertake practical activities to understand the applied nature of the skills, and reflect on your own career goals and develop a plan to achieve them.

  • Foundations (creative thinking, cultural networks, reflective practice, collaboration, storytelling, ethics and sustainability)
  • Portfolio building and interdisciplinary showcase preparation
  • Sector insights, advanced project ideation, research methods, digital professional profile, creative sprints
  • Project implementation and critical reflection
  • Career planning, showcase and future pathways

Learning objectives

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

  • understand creative thinking principles and their application across arts, humanities and social sciences
  • analyse cultural and social networks and interdisciplinary connections to identify collaboration opportunities
  • apply reflective practice to connect personal identity with professional and creative development
  • develop and present creative outputs using digital tools and storytelling techniques
  • create a professional portfolio and digital profile that evidences employability and sector readiness
  • plan and implement a cultural or creative project addressing ethical, sustainable and social impact considerations.
