Overview

  • Credit value: 15 credits at Level 4

  • Assessment: two 45-minute in-class multiple-choice and short-answer tests (30% each) and a one-hour in-class test (40%)

Module description

This is the first of three sequential chemistry modules, introducing you to the exciting world of atoms and molecules. You will learn about:

  • fundamental concepts
  • processes and tools, such as bonding, intermolecular forces and the periodic table.

You will also gain essential laboratory practice necessary for the more complex experiments in the subsequent modules.
