Overview
- Credit value: 30 credits at Level 5

- Prerequisites: placement test and German 3 (Level 4) or equivalent
- Assessment: two continuous assessment exercises (20%), an in-class listening assessment (20%), in-class written assessment (30%), in-class oral assessment (15%), self-reflexive assignment (10%) and class participation (5%)
Module description
This 24-week module, leading to CEFR stage C1/post-A-level, will help you attain a level of proficiency in your German language skills. You will be able to express a wide range of ideas on complex topics in both written and spoken German.
It focuses on areas of grammar which allow for nuanced modes of expression. Particular emphasis is placed on text comprehension, essay writing and oral skills.
