Wirtschaftsdeutsch (Level 6)

Overview

• Credit value: 30 credits at Level 6
• Convenor and tutor: Dr Peter Damrau
• Prerequisite: German 3 at Level German 3 (Level 4), German 3 (Level 5) or German 3 (Level 6)
• Assessment: a 1500-word piece of coursework (20%), 15-minute presentation (20%), three-hour written in-class assessment (40%) and 15-minute interview (20%)

Module description

This module, entirely taught in German, covers a wide range of topics, including:

• marketing
• trade fairs
• import/export
• tourism
• business communication.

There will also be a number of classes dealing with current economic and social affairs. For these classes you will be consulted about the choice of topics.
